Minimum requirement:
- Raw milled Black scented Rice shall ,-
- have uniform size, shape, colour and condition;
- be long, slender, Black to purple in color;
- possess marked degrees of natural fragrance, characteristic of black scented rice both in raw and cooked forms;
- be free from artificial colouring, polishing agents , artificial fragrances and any other chemicals ;
- be free from obnoxious smell;
- be free from rodent hair and excreta, filth, moulds, live insects, dead insects, insect fragments
