Minimum requirement:

  • Raw milled Black scented Rice shall ,-
    •  have uniform size, shape, colour and condition;
    • be long, slender, Black to purple in color;
    • possess marked degrees of natural fragrance, characteristic of black scented rice both in raw and cooked forms;
    • be free from artificial colouring, polishing agents , artificial fragrances and any other chemicals ;
    • be free from obnoxious smell;
    • be free from rodent hair and excreta, filth, moulds, live insects, dead insects, insect fragments
