Climate	Temperature is more important than day length. In our region it is grown in milder winter (E & W parts). Most of Europian cvs. under this condition do not form tight heads (loose & open heads) - reason for poor yield in India; long cold period induces 0 0 plant to bolt sooner; optimum temperature or growth & heading 15 - 20 C above 0 25 C growth arrested.
Nursery	Nursery Management - Tips to be followed & monitored : i) Sow the seeds in Pro trays of 98 cavities by using the sterilised cocopeat as a media, th  ii) At 5 day after sowing mild spray with Uthane M-45 @ 1g/litre of H O + Ulala 2 0.3 g/litre of H O or Saaf @ 1g/litre of H O + Ulala 0.2 g/litre of H O. 2 2 2 th iii) At 15 day after sowing spray with Saaf @ 1g/litre of H O + Ulala 0.2 g/litre of 2 H O. 2 st iv) At 21 day after sowing spray with Uthane M-45 @ 1g/litre of H O + Ulala 0.3 2 g/litre of H O or Saaf @ 1g/litre of H O + Ulala 0.2 g/litre of H O. 2 2 2  v) Hardening of seedlings is must before transplanting. Seedling will be ready for transplanting in 22-24 days after sowing. Transplanting has to be done preferable in evening hours to avoid sun shock & mortality
Soil & Land Preparation	i) pH : 6-6.5; ii) Light soil-early crop; iii) Heavy soil- keeping quality good; iv) Plants in saline soil susceptible to diseases.

Irrigation	Irrigate as & when required based on the soil type & the local practices.
Spacing	Row to Row : 45 cm & Plant to Plant : 30-40 cm

1st Picking	Early round : 50-55 days, Medium 60-65 days, Late : 75-80 days

Remedies / Control Mmeasures	Uniron 1.0 ml/l for control of DBM, Ulala 0.5 ml/l for Leaf minor control.
Harvesting	Cut the head once the crop attain the maturity, good field holding hybrids has an advantage to hold the harvesting if the market price for cabbage is low / Glut in market.
Care	At maturity watering should be avoided-cause splitting of heads.
