General characteristics 

  • Coconut Oil cake of grade good shall be the products obtained after the extraction of oil from copra (dried coconut kernels) by power driven machinery.
  • Ghani grade oil cake shall be the product obtained after the extraction of oil from copra(dried coconut kernels) by animal driven ghani or chakki.
  • The material shall be free from harmful constituents and castor cake or husk.
  • It shall be free from rancidity adulterants, insects or fungus infestation and from fermented musty and other objectionable odour.
  • It shall be free from dirt and extraneous matter.
