CONSEQUENTLY RESULTED IN THEIR ABSORBING ABNORMAL SMELLS AND/OR TASTES, IN
PARTICULAR THROUGH THE PROXIMITY OF OTHER PRODUCT WHICH GIVE OFF VOLATILE
ODOURS. IN ADDITION, THE STEMS MUST BE TWISTED OR CLEAN CUT AND MUST NOT
EXCEED 6 CM IN LENGTH (EXCEPT FOR STRINGED ONIONS). IF THE STEM IS TOO LONG
OR DEEP CUT THIS MAY LEAD TO SECONDARY INFECTIONS OF THE BULB AND EVENTUALLY
TO DISEASES. |
