This variety has become the world’s standard for Thai Sweet Basil. It is vigorous with a bushy plant habit. By pinching the centres of the primary and secondary shoots many side branches will develop, which in turn will produce plenty of shoots with fragrant leaves. Leaves are large and flowering starts late. Best results are obtained in warm growing conditions. In Thailand, Siam Queen is used for cooking, but in other countries it is also ornamental. |
