SPIKELETS PEDICELLED, BORNE IN PAIRS, ONE OF A PAIR ON A LONGER PEDICEL (UP TO 15 MM LONG) THAN THE OTHER; SPIKELETS BROADLY ELLIPTIC, GLABROUS TO PUBESCENT 2.5-3.5 MM LONG WITH A SHORT STIPE UP TO 0.5 MM LONG.
