LEAVES

NEARLY SESSILE, IMPARIPINNATE, RACHIS 1.5-2 CM LONG; LEAFLETS USUALLY 7-9, ALTERNATE, SUBSESSILE, OBLONG-OVATE, 3-12 MM LONG AND 1.5-5 MM WIDE, OBTUSE OR EMARGINATED AT APEX, CUNEATE AT BASE, APPRESSEDLY WHITE PUBESCENT ON BOTH SURFACES.

FLOWERS

SMALL, BORNE IN SESSILE OR SHORT-PEDUNCLED 10- 20-FLOWERED AXILLARY SPIKES UP TO 1.5 CM LONG; BRIGHT RED, SLIGHTLY EXSERTED.

FRUITS

PODS 3-4 MM LONG AND 1.5-2 MM IN DIAMETER, OBLONG, CYCLINDRICAL, MORE OR LESS CLOTHED WITH WHITE APPRESSED HAIRS.
