OVATE-OBLONG, 1–9.5 CM LONG, 0.6–5 CM WIDE, SHARPLY TOOTHED, DENSELY SILKY HAIRY ON BOTH SURFACES, UPPER LEAVES SMALLER, ACUTE TO APICULATE, BASE ACUTE, SESSILE, LOWER LEAVES ROUNDED OR OBTUSE, BASE TAPERING, PETIOLATE.

FLOWERS

ROSE TO PINK FLOWERS ARE BORNE IN DENSE FLATTOPPED CLUSTERS. FLOWER-HEADS ARE BELL-SHAPED.

FRUITS

ACHENES OBLONG, 0.5 MM LONG, SPARSELY TO DENSELY HAIRY; PAPPUS WHITE, 2–4 MM LONG.
