HABIT

A SMALL, ERECT, ANNUAL HERB THAT GROWS UP TO 30–40 CM IN HEIGHT.

STEMS

QUITE GLABROUS, STEM OFTEN BRANCHED AT THE BASE, LEAF BEARING BRANCHLETS SLENDER, SPREADING. THE BARK IS SMOOTH AND LIGHT GREEN.

LEAVES

NUMEROUS, SUBSESSILE, DISTICHOUS LEAVES. 

FLOWERS

SMALL, WHITE TO LIGHT YELLOWISH. MALE FLOWERS IN AXILLARY, FEMALES IN SOLITARY.

FRUITS

CAPSULES DEPRESSED-GLOBOSE, SMOOTH SCARCELY – LOBED.
